Tea Shoppe and This Week's Mojo

I almost forgot to share my card for this week's Mojo Monday Challenge and it's already Friday!  I haven't played with the Tea Shoppe stamp set yet and thought this may be the perfect opportunity. The three little tea cups are so sweet.  They actually come with all three on the same stamp but I decided to cut them a part so that I can use them individually.

The designer series paper used in this card is the Twitterepated from the Occasions Mini as is the Tea Shoppe Stamp set.  Remember... you have until the end of this month to order from this catalog.
I also used the Large Sizzlits Die - Paper Doily for the circle in the sketch. After placing the larger of the basic pearls on the banner I couldn't resist adding the tiny ones to the tea cups.  The tea cups and the tag were both popped up with dimensionals.

Sketch challenges are a lot of fun so give it a try.  It's still not to late to enter your card.

MoJo Monday Shamrocks

Today I decided to create a card for the MoJo Monday Sketch Challenge. The sketch is below.  You can make a round or square card and I decided on a square St Patrick's Day Card.  I really don't have any stamps for this occasion so I decided to improvise.

A Shamrock is a low growing, clover-like plant, with three-lobed leaves, that are the national emblem of Ireland (looked that up).  And as we all know when you find one with 4 lobes you are in luck!  I remember as a kid our entire front lawn was covered in clover.  Back then I didn't know that wasn't a good thing. :) I remember sitting sometimes for hours on a summer day looking for a four leaf clover and being ecstatic when I found one. Taking it inside so my mother could press it between wax paper so I would always have luck. <3

Today's card features that one lone lucky shamrock among all the rest.  I used the smallest heart on the Heart to Heart Punch to make the lobes and then glued them onto the circle in the Itty Bitty Shapes Punch Pack.  The stems were made using the small oval punch.

The paper is Lucky Limeade card stock and the Twitterpated Designer Series Paper.  The sentiment is from Friendly Phrases and inside I stamped "Got Green?" from the Got Treats Stamp Set.

Enchanting Designer Paper - Mojo Monday Challenge

Enchanting means charming, delightful, lovely... and these are all words that describe the Everyday Enchantment Designer Series Paper.  I thought it was the perfect paper to use in this week's Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge.

Details:
  • The Everyday Designer Series Paper is a Sale-A-Bration exclusive.  It will be yours to earn FREE when the Sale-A-Bration promotion begins January 24.
  • I used Stampin' Up! Crumb Cake Classic Ink and Stamping sponges on the edges of the all layers to give this card a vintage look.
  • An Antique Brad and large Basic Pearls are beautiful details that also add to the vintage look.
  • The Blossom Bouquet  Triple Layer Punch is a "cool" tool that punches three coordinated punch images in just one punch. Though the layers can be used separately they also can be combined to make a lovely flower.
  • Friendly Phrases is the stamp set I used for the sentiment.  This set is new for me and I am so glad I decided to add it to my collection.

Stamp Set:  Fabulous Phrases (C126151),W126149)
Ink: Crumb Cake (121030), Early Espresso (119670)
Paper: Very Vanilla (101650), Pool Party (122924), Everyday Enchantment DSP (126154) can be order beginning Jan.4)
Accessories:  Basic Pearls (119247), Antique Brads (117273), Blossom Bouquet Triple Layer Punch (122464), Stampin Sponges (101610)

Reminders:
  • Today is the last day to shop the Holiday Mini.  The last day to purchase the Stocking builder punch and coordinating stamp set - Stitched Stockings.  And don't forget, You Are Loved, for Valentine's Day.
  • The Occasions Mini starts tomorrow.  Do you have a long wish list?  Mine included just about everything.  If you are one of my customers and haven't received yours in the mail please let me know.  If you would like to become one of my customers and need an Occasions Mini send me an email with your name and address.

Do you like a Challenge?

My son who is in a PhD program at Notre Dame asked that I make him a card so he can say thank you to a very special Latin professor.  He asked me to remember that it was coming from him and not from me.  I think that meant not too flowery.  :)

My inspiration came from the Saturday Sketch Challenge on Stampin 411.  This is a new site for me.  I'm excited I found it because only Stampin' Up! supplies are used on the cards you will see there.

You begin with the sketch below.  Think of the sketch as a starting point especially if you are having trouble getting your creative juices flowing.   But remember it's ok to make some changes.

I used the Paisley Petals DSP that we were able to order during a sneak peak.  It will be available in the new catalog coming out on July 1!  And since flowers were not an option for this card I used the bird from the Friends 24/7 stamp set.  It has been one of my favorite sets this year.

My first thought was to use Old Olive ribbon but am happy with the pop of color using the Marina Mist. I used the ribbon tab and brad because he requested no bows!

So...give it a try.  This is a fun way to be challenged.
