Even the Naughty Deserve Something Nice!

Cute sentiment for this sweet card using Stampin' Up!'s new Holiday Collection Framelits Dies.  I absolutely love them!  I chose the candy cane to feature in this card but you also have the choice of a christmas tree, gingerbread man, or a cute christmas mug.

Tips and Tricks:

• After die cutting the candy cane with the Framelit Die I used a pencil to lightly draw the outline of the candy cane on a small piece of whisper white card stock.
• I used the Cherry Cobbler Scallop Dots Ribbon for the red stripes but for the white strips I applied Dazzling Diamonds directly to the card stock.  It gives the card some extra bling to match the rhinestones on the tag.  Oops...just realized there's a missing rhinestone on the left side.  Need to see about fixing that!
• That's the Decorative Label Punch...cut it in half and pull it apart as far as you need to.
• If you don't have the new Essentials Paper-Piercing Pack you need to consider it.  I love how you can pierce half the card, turn it around and pierce the other half.  No more lining things up over and over again. :)

The project I would like to share with you today is a cute Easter Purse that holds a yummy treat!  I cut a piece of Pool Party card stock 4-1/2" x 8" and scored it at 2-1/2, 3-1/4, 5-3/4, and 6-1/4 inches. The Edgelit Die was placed on the edge with the short fold and the run through the Big Shot.  I used the coordinating Embossing Edgelit for more detail and the Everyday Enchantment Designer Series Paper (2-1/2" x 4-1/2") because you all know that's my favorite!  And isn't she the sweetest bunny? You'll find her in the Everybunny Stamp Set.  The coloring was done with the 2012 - 2013 in color ink pads and a blender pen.

I designed this purse because I didn't have a treat holder in my bag of tricks to fit the Russell Stover Caramel Eggs.  Yum...they are one of my favorite Easter Treats!  Who am I trying to kid...I love all chocolate candy and when you add caramel I'm in heaven.  lol

Create a Cupcake Birthday Card

Last night I worked on a Birthday card for my brother.  I need to get it in the mail today and keep my fingers crossed that it arrives on time.  I struggled with this card as I wanted it to be masculine, fun, and easy to mail.  That meant no ribbon, flowers, rhinestones and everything I love to use on my cards. :(

So I decided to pull out the Create a Cupcake stamp set with the coordinating Cupcake Punch.  So what do you think?  Cute?  I love that little cupcake and I did add a bit of Cherry Cobbler glitter to the cherry!

• The colors are Real Red and Marina Mist on a Chocolate Chip card base.  The Designer Series Paper is from Pocketful of Posies.   
• The large scallops were created with the 1 inch circle punch.
• Since I didn't want to use brads or ribbon I did a little bit of paper piercing for interest.

I decorated the inside of the card with a matching strip of DSP and Marina Mist scallops .  Then I decided on a  big happy birthday!  Wish I could be there to help him celebrate.

My Pictures Are Back!!!

I 'm happy to say that the problem I had with missing pictures on my blog has now been repaired.  Yes!!!   I had to work all weekend repairing it in between all my weekend activities therefore I've had no time for stamping.  I did want to show you a card I made last week when I was stamping the Fabulous Florets card for the Outlawz challenge.  I did the same card in a different color combination.

With this one I watercolored the flowers with Old Olive and Daffodil Yellow markers using an aqua painter.  I went with Old Olive 1 1/4 inch Striped Grosgrain Ribbon and added some paper piercing at the bottom on each side of the sentiment.

I love the dramatic effect of the first card in black, white, and red but I like this one too.  Which is your favorite?
