I wanted to share my beautiful Christmas Cactus with you today.  It blooms like this every year even though the poor thing is neglected all through the year.  I've been teased quite often about my black thumb but this plant defies death year after year.  :)

So today I have a card that has been inspired by the colors in this Christmas cactus.  I used Wasabi Green, Melon Mambo, and Whisper White.  The stamp set is Baby Bundle from the IB&C.  It has so many cute images that you can use for all cards "baby".  It even has an image you can use for shower invitations.

I used the Perfect Polka Dots embossing folder, matching green brads for the wheels, and colored the jingle bells with melon mambo embossing powder.  How neat is that to be able to change their colors.  You are only limited by the colors of embossing powder you have.

To emboss the jingle bells you need to press and roll them on your versa mark pad and then dip them into your embossing powder.  Apply your heat gun and voila!  Now a tip...when I did these I used a pair of tweezers to hold the top while I heated them.  One turned out fine but the hole on the top of the second closed up.  I had to use my paper piercing tool to open the hole back up and it wasn't easy.  The next time I emboss the jingle bells I think I will try to place a dental floss threader or something like that through the hole to keep it from closing up.  If you have other ideas on how to keep the holes open please leave me a post.

As Promised - More Swaps

Wanted to share the last of the swaps today from our PAWs meeting.  Some of these should start you thinking about your Christmas cards.

This first card by LeRee is amazing!  She incorporated so many new products form the Holiday Mini.  The Holiday Stocking Die is awesome.  I love the new Snow Burst embossing folder.  And don't miss the big red button, the dotted ribbon and the sweetest jingle bells you have ever seen. They are all brand new this year.

At the convention they die cut two stockings and put a box in between making the cutest gift box.  It actually stood on it's own.

Not sure which of the gals made this card.  It uses the A la Carte stamp "From Santa" and the top note.  A cute card that can be put together easily.
Anne used the new Letterpress Plate and did an awesome job.  It has two different debossed images on the one plate. You will also find this new product in the Holiday Mini.

If you are looking for snowmen for this year's Christmas cards this is a sweet lineup.  The stamp set is called "Holiday Lineup" and it includes a group of crazy reindeer and elves in addition to the snowmen. If you like to watercolor you'll love this set.

The last swap is a sweet baby card.  Do you recognize the stamp set?  It's the Stitched Stocking set with the cuffs cut down.  Just shows you how versatile our stamp sets can be.

If you would like to spend a fun afternoon or evening learning to make cards like these just call to book a workshop today.

Thank you for visiting.

Baby Buggy Card

My son's girlfriend is visiting before they both go back to Notre Dame next week.  It's been a great visit! She needed a card to go along with a baby gift she's giving to a friend so I thought it would be fun to do a baby buggy card.  The ones I've seen online use the scallop circle die.  Since I don't own that die...yet, I thought I would use a 5 inch circle made with the Stampin' Up' Circle Scissor Plus.  It makes perfect circles and it's so easy to use.

I decorated the buggy with the Scallop Trim Border.

Close up of the tag, bow, and Basic Pearls.

The "love" sentiment is from the So Cute stamp set.  It is one of the sets that is retiring.  It has been one of my favorites.  I use it for baby, Easter, birthday...cute and versatile.
June 30 is the last day to purchase items from the retiring lists.  Click on the tab at the top to view these lists.

The congratulations I used on the inside of the card is from the Swirls and Curls Verses in the Summer Mini.  It's one of our hostess sets.  Book a workshop and you can earn this stamp free.  Let me tell you how.

I had a lot of fun with this card...hope you enjoyed it.
