Summer Smooches Matchbook Gum or Candy Holder

Attended our PAWS meeting this past Saturday and had a great time with all my demo friends.  It's alway fun to learn, share, and chat business and non business with gals that love Stampin' Up!.  I was responsible for one of the make and takes this month and decided to share a project that was shared at the Late Night Stampers Pre Convention Stamp Camp this year.

It's a cute match book treat holder.  This one holds a packet of gum but I can also see it with a small candy bar.  It's made with a piece of 3 x 12 inch card stock.

Here's the inside.  The Window Punch was used to make the opening for the gum packet.  This is a great no stamp project that goes together pretty quickly incase you wanted to make a bunch of them for a party or to pass out at the office.

Now if you wanted to do some stamping how about this cute version stamped with the new Ronald McDonald Stamp Set.  This set is so stinkin cute!   But the best part is that $3 of the sale of each set goes to support the Ronald McDonald House Charities where they support families with children who have serious illnesses.  This is a part of Stampin' Up!'s mission - to make a difference in the lives of others...and all the while having fun!

Order this stamp set in my online store or by emailing me and receive a video showing you how to make this cute treat holder.  (Clear 126322 - $14.95, Wood 126320 - $19.95)  And know that you are helping out a great charity!

While you're ordering remember if you order $50 or more in product you can still get the Reason to Smile Stamp Set for only $5.  This offer expires today.  Plus you will earn two points towards your customer loyalty rewards.

Hope to see you again soon!

Reason to Smile and Convention Swaps

Lots of fun at the Fancy Fold Card Class Last Night.  Later in the week I'll show you the card box we made.  It's so cute...I know you're going to love it!

However, today I first wanted to remind you that the Reason to Smile promotion will be over at the end of the month.  That's right...only a couple of days to take advantage of the offer.

Make a purchase of $50 and get the Reason to Smile Set (up to a $20.95 value) for only $5.  If you place your order in my online store...
  • After reaching $50 on your order enter the $5 item number. (Wood - 131274, Clear - 131275)
  • Only one set per customer.
  • The Reason to Smile Stamp Set will not be available after July 31, 2012 as it is exclusive to this promotion.

This clean and simple card was a swap I received at convention from Sharon Cline using this precious stamp set.  Mine arrived right before convention and I haven't had a chance to play with it yet, but I can hardly wait to ink it up.

There is still so much more I would like to share with you from convention. I guess what I need to do is just a pick a few things every time I post. Today I wanted to show you two more of the swaps I created for convention.

This first one uses the Stippled Blossoms Stamp Set.
  • It's a two-step stamp set with beautiful flowers and leaves.
  • The entire flower was stamped in Baja Breeze.  First I stamped with the solid stamp, stamping off once.  Then I stamped over it with the detailed stamp giving it the light and dark effect.
  • Added one of my new favorite colors, Summer Starfruit, in both the solid and designer series paper.
  • For added texture I embossed the card base with the Perfect Polka Dots Embossing Folder.

I ordered the Clockworks Stamp Set thinking it would be a good set for masculine cards and even fun to use in some vintage cards.  But when I sat down to create my swap...I just wanted to have fun with it!
  • So I chose, yes that's right, Summer Starfruit again and added two more of the New (2012 -2014) In Colors - Midnight Muse and Gumball Green.
  • Lots of texture by using both the Square Lattice and the new Chevron Embossing Folders.
  • Add a brad on the clock and some fun Gumball Green 3/8" Stitched Satin Ribbon for some extra details.
  • Everyone thought the Memories sentiment was perfect.  It's from the stamp set Loving Thoughts.
Please feel free to contact me with any questions you may have about the above projects, joining Stampin' Up! or placing an order.  I promise great customer service and support to those who join my team.

Have a wonderful day...it looks like another hot one!

Got Birthday? Gift Card Holder

It's taken me a few days to get unpacked and organized.  My mom left the hospital as I was leaving for convention so we've had to do some follow up visits in Atlanta with docs.  I also have a fancy fold card class tomorrow night so I have been preparing for that.  By the way, there are a few spots open so if you are local and would like to join us give me a call or text me today.

Thought I would share one of the cards for the class with you.  It's a folded gift card holder.  Summer Starfruit is one of my new favorite colors.  This color has had to grow on some people but I loved it from the start.  The cupcake is from the Got Milk Stamp Set.  It's a cute idea.

  • The color combo is from the Color Coach...the Sweet Set for the color Summer Starfruit.  It's a great tool if you need a place to start.  It gives you 3 ideas for each color - a Dynamic Duo, a Creative Combination, and a Sweet Set.
  • The Stripes Embossing Folder gives texture to both the inside and outside panel.  Once you own your Big Shot it's an inexpensive way to add interest to your layers.
  • The embossing folder mimics the stripes in the cupcake and the Scallop Dots Ribbon does the same with the cupcake sprinkles. This helps to pull the entire project together.
  • Then add a little Dazzling Details to the sprinkles for that extra touch.  Wish you could see it in person. :)
A view to show the gift card holder.

Now let me show you all the swaps, gifts, and make and takes I brought back from convention!  The container (much larger then it looks in the picture) is full and overflowing.  Just think if I would have had even more time to make the general swaps I had intended to make.  There's so much to share it's difficult to know where to start.

Here's an idea that was shown on main stage.  At the time I thought for sure I would remember who showed what projects but I'm finding my memory is not as good as I hoped it would be. :)

What a great way to use those cute colorful Dahlias.

 A darling little Valentine's Card.

This one would surely cheer someone up.

Clean and Simple but so sweet.
I think my favorite is the Christmas card...do you have a favorite?

This next card is at the opposite of the spectrum.  Nothing clean and simple about this card but it's so different and gorgeous.

Let me end today with a sweet scrapbook page that I'm guessing was on the boards.

Thanks for stopping by.   If you have questions feel free to text or email me...and always feel free to leave a comment.

Stampin' Up! Convention Day 2

Where to start....I did make it to convention even with all that's been going on in my life the past several weeks.  Have to say I have a wonderful husband and without him I would not be here having so much fun!

I was hoping to post every day but we are on the go so much it's difficult to find the time.

Convention officially began yesterday.  Here's everyone waiting for the opening session.  Lots of cheers as the door went up!

The theme this year is I am...  They have been asking us to finish that sentence and right now all I'm thinking is... I am excited to share everything about convention with all of you!

This is the project Shelli shared with us on main stage .  A cute porcelain frame with magnets made from the new buttons that will be in the holiday mini.  A great project for a Christmas gift.

Dawn Griffith shared two cute cards using ribbon.

She also shared this cute baby gift box.

And inside was a baby's headband made using the new Scalloped Tulle Ribbon in the holiday mini.  You are going to love it!

Laura Milligan shared some great projects using Stampin' Up! fabric.  She showed us both a sew and no sew version of the scissors caddy using the Petal Cone Die.  I can't wait to make one for my paper snips.

She also shared several cloth bags with cute fabric flowers.  And...a great tip...use some card stock in the layering of the flower to give it more dimension.

Meg Wheeler showed projects using the Snowflake Season Simply Scrappin' Layout Kit also in the up coming Holiday Mini.  I think this is going to be my favorite mini. :)

Then she shared a non Christmas page using the extra numbers and embellishments.

Using the snowflake cutouts from the same kit she made a beautiful snowflake.  Scrapbook kits are a fun and easy way to make lots of projects wether you are a scrapbooker or card maker.

This year I was able to take the tour of Stampin' Up!'s headquarters.  It was really quite amazing.  Here I am with several demo friends.

Here's where all the creative work, demo support, and shipping happens.

Everyone's desk in customer and demo support was decorated in cards.  Looks like a fun place to work!

The warehouse is huge!

Here's Fran Kennedy and I at pre-convention with our Late Night Stamper's project.  It was a lot of fun being an instructor this year.  Thank you Ginger and Leishman for helping us cut 140 of the projects.

Convention is so exciting!  No pictures can depict all the fun and learning that is going on.  I am hoping that some of you might join my team this year and consider taking a trip of a lifetime with me.  Let's plan for convention 2013!

I have so many swaps to share with you so make sure you stop back soon!

Mouth Watering

Decided to share this cute mouth watering card with you today that I created for a demo swap.  It's done in two fun colors - Lucky Limeade and Melon Mambo.  I purchased the Mouth Watering Stamp Set when it was in the Mini Catalog but it wasn't until the temperatures were soaring that I thought to get it out and ink it up.  So glad I finally did.

  • When using the older ink pads, sometimes the coverage is not as even as you would like on the large block stamps.  Take a blender pen and some of the ink from the lid of the ink pad to color in any areas that need more coverage. With the new foam pads - life is much easier!
  • The Designer Series Paper Stacks are an affordable way to have patterned paper on hand for both cards and scrapbooking. It can be purchased in all the color families and both sets of In Colors.
  • The Adorning Accents Embossing Folder is a great way to add a small strip of embossing to your projects.  My favorite is this one with the little hearts.
  • Use the one inch Square Punch to make perfect tails on the ends of sentiment banners.
  • Mouthwatering is a great stamp set to have on hand for summer fun.  Additional images are of a watermelon, ice cream cone, and cherries.  Order it today!
