New Occasions Blossom Punch Butterfly

The inspiration for today's card is from the Occasions Mini.  Take a look at the butterfly on page 16 made from the new Blossom Punch.  Isn't it beautiful?  And so easy to do.  And when you pair it up with some of the gorgeous new designer paper it's a real wow!

  • After punching out the blossom in the designer paper you will want to remove two opposite petals.  It's not important that you measure or mark before cutting since you will be covering the center.  The solid layer was done the same way except that you need to then cut it in half so you can separate the pieces leaving a space when you adhere it to the layer.
  • Have fun with the center of the butterfly.  You can use a button and baker's twine like I did or decorative with brads, pearls, or rhinestones.  Just use your imagination.
  • There are so many new "cool" tools in this Occasions Mini.  Like the Adorning Accents Embossing Folder used under the butterfly. It's one in a pack of three folders for only $8.95.  Be sure to add it to your wish list.
  • This is one of the Twitterpated designer series paper patterns. It is one of three wonderful designer series paper packs in the Occasions Mini.
My January newsletter will include a Clean and Simple card using the Blossom Punch butterfly and the same embossing folder.  It will be in your inbox soon...so keep an eye out.  If you're not signed up yet please do so now.

  2. I agree. I think punches can be so much fun trying to see how many ways you can use them. The butterfly was so obvious so it will be interesting what others eventually come up with.
