My Stampin' Up! Convention Swaps

It's been way too long!  But let's just catch up.  Last week was Stampin' Up!'s yearly Convention in Salt Lake City and it was amazing!!  As a first timer I prepared about 200 hundred swaps and brought home so many wonderful cards and ideas.  My roommates were wonderful.  Two seasoned convention goers that showed me the ropes.  Gals... thank you so much for helping to make my first convention a great experience!

Now it's time to share.  These are the gift bags I gave to my roommates.  I had a lot of fun decorating them.  Inside they found my favorite hand cream, gum, chocolate, etc.  I loved the way they turned out.  Not sure you can see the tiny tag but it says Hello.  Don't you just love the butterflies?

Here we are after lunch...Karin, Kelly, and myself.  You may have seen Karin on the Stampin" Up! Facebook page if you were following the convention (I had a famous roommate).  She was the Domestic Goddess wearing her rubber cleaning gloves, fork and spoon earrings, and her headdress showcasing her swaps using the Domestic Goddess Product Suite.  The mini clothespins are so stinkin' cute!

Next are my two general swaps.  I made 70 of each.  The first one you may recognize from an earlier post.  I took the flat no layerd card and layered it on black card stock.

Then I cut one of the flowers out and popped it up with a dimensional.  Added a large rhinestone in the center of that flower and a small one on the sentiment.  I wish you could see it sparkle.  It was almost everyone's favorite.  It's a shame I hadn't made more.

My second card used the very popular Delicate Doilies set.  That's part of the Blossom Bouquet Triple Layer Punch that gives the card some dimension.  I really got into Rhinestones for these two swap cards.  :)

This card is the one I made for the UStamp organized swap.  I had to make 60 of them.  It's a folded card and I was very happy with the way it turned out.

Here it is when you open it up.

And a close up of the pretty embossed flower.

Tomorrow I will be posting more convention pictures.  Hopefully some of my pictures will let you see how awesome convention really was.  I had so much fun that I am starting a convention savings jug so I can go again next year.

If you would like to go with me now is the perfect time to become a demonstrator. Stampin' Up! is running a special on the Starter Kit through July 31.  It's only $99.00 plus receive a free Christmas Project Box.  It's darling!
