Betsy's Blossoms Slider Card

Hi Stampers!

Busy, busy, busy!  Getting ready for convention and I can't wait.  A time when thousands of Stampin' Up! demos get together to learn, share, and have fun doing what we love the most...paper crafting.  I am in the middle of designing and making all of my swap cards.   I hope to have at least 200 cards made to swap this year.  I can't wait to share them with you but that won't be until we get a little closer  to the date (July 18th).

This year I'm also an instructor for the Late Night Stamper's pre-convention stamp camp.  On Friday and Saturday Fran Kennedy and I cut and packaged 130 kits for our project. We decided on a cute purse using one of the Edgelit Dies and matching Embossing Folders.  Boy was that a lot of work!  I want to thank two of my downline - Leishman Williams and Ginger Rosen for spending hours helping us.  That project is a secret until after the camp so I will try to remember to show you that while I'm at convention.

Today I have a sweet slider card to share with you.   Betsy's Blossoms is one of my favorite stamp sets in the new catty.  The Base of the card is a pocket made with Baja Breeze and stamped with Versa Mark.  The colors are three of this year's new In Colors - Midnight Muse, Raspberry Ripple, and Gumball Green.  The bird was fussy cut and popped up with dimensionals.  I actually used retire satin ribbon for this project since it was for club and I had so much left over.  There are several choices in the new catty that would work well with this card.

Slider cards are fun to make.  Even after club members put one together for the first time I see ladies  scratch their heads wondering...how does that work?
Pull on the ribbon and the card inside... and it looks like this.

If you are local and would like to learn to make projects like this please check my class and club schedule.  I would like to invite you the very first time as my guest.  It's a great way to make new friends.  The members in club are all fun and very helpful.  You learn lots of techniques and get to use many of the wonderful Stampin' Up! products.  It's just a lot of fun!  If you have questions call or email me.

Stamp Sets: Betsy's Blossoms (Clear 126006) (Wood 126004), Best of Everything (Clear 123536) (Wood 123534)
Ink:  Midnight Muse (126860), Raspberry Ripple (126859), Gumball Green ( 126861), Versa Mark (102283)
Paper:  Baja Breeze (111352), Raspberry Ripple (126842), Whisper White (100730)
Tools and Accessories:  Paper Snips (103579), Ribbon of choice - pages 172 and 173 in the catty

When fussy cutting out designs a pair of sharp paper snips make it so much easier.  For a long time I just used the ones I had thinking they were good enough.  I want to tell you how much easier it is to precision cut with the Stampin' UP! Paper Snips.  Now I don't know why I waited so long before ordering mine.  Love them!

Have a wonderful day...stay cool!
