Top Note Easter Treat Holder - Everybunny

Today I'm sharing the Everybunny Treat Holder.  This was another project we did at my workshop on Sunday.  It uses the Top Note Die and is perfect for the the small size candy bars.  The size where you get eight small Hershey bars in a packet.  They fit perfect!

This sweet Easter egg flower is from the Everybunny stamp set.  I stamped the image with Black Stazon ink and then colored it with blender pens and ink from the Stampin' Up! ink pads.  I had a lot of new stampers at this workshop and some that had never heard of Stampin' Up! so I wanted to show them how you can squeeze Stampin' Up! ink pads and use the ink that pools in the lid for coloring your projects.

The actual image includes the egg and the pot it is growing from.  Since the image was too large we used the 1-1/4" Circle Punch and used only the top of the image.  I think it is cute with or without the pot.

The flower egg is colored with Old Olive, Blushing Bride, Daffodil Delight, and Pool Party.  Since the Happy Easter sentiment actually says Happy Easter Everybunny I colored only the part of the sentiment I wanted with a black marker.  When you color your stamps with markers always remember to "huff" on the stamp as this remositens the ink so you get a nice image.

I have to confess this is the first time I have used the Stitched-Poly Ribbon and I have to say it's awesome! I love both the look and the feel of this ribbon.  It's a perfect choice for treat holders and handles on treat purses.  And yet I'm sure it will look outstanding on a card.

I play in the orchestra at our church and we will be doing our Passion play at the end of the month.  I think this treat will be a perfect treat to leave on each of their music stands.  I think it will bring smiles!

Thanks for stopping by.  Leave a comment and make me smile. :)  Have a wonderful day!

  1. Good Morning Diane

I had case'd these cuties and posted them on my blog. you had asked how i do on Etsy. As you can tell, I'm just getting started on Etsy - just the few items but you gotta start somewhere, right? I work full time, so time is a major, major factor for me - or lack there of. I thiink that when I get more items posted, I will do better. Right now with just the few items, my stuff is just buried amongst the masses. I've scoped out what some other folks have on there, and they seem to be doing quite well based on their number of sales, but they have larger quantities of items up for sale.

Good luck to you as well. you do really nice work.

BTW - I like your blog name. Generally, my user name is joyfulcrafts.

    1. Thanks Joyce for all the info. You can tell I know nothing about Etsy since I thought you had a lot of items in your shop. I think you are doing really well considering you have a full time job. Good luck with your shop and your new blog.
