Sprinkled Expressions for Valentines Day

Today's card is for the Sunday Clean and Simple Challenge on The Outlawz. The challenge is to welcome in the New Year with a fresh clean start and a fresh clean card.  The "rules" are to a use white base and no patterned paper. It's ok to use other colors of card stock and embellies.  If you have never done a challenge this may be a great one to get you started.

I decided to give you a sneak peek of a stamp set in the Sale-a-bration Catalog which begins January 24.  Sprinkled Expressions is the name of the set and it's free during sale-a-bration with a $50 order.  The heart is perfect for Valentine's Day but there is also a star and flower with the same sweet cut outs.  It's a really cute set!
                                      
Details:  

• Add some extra cuteness to the edge of your card using another new product that will be available on January 4th in the Occasions Mini Catalog.  It's one of Stampin' Up!'s new Edgelit Dies.  If you like this one wait til you see the other one in the set.
• I love Clean and Simple (CAS) cards.  But some of you may be thinking what is CAS.  It's a card without lots of layers.  It should have open space but not necessarily white or neutral.  It needs to have a focal point.  Then don't put too much "stuff" on the project to distract from that focal point.  And lastly it should be easy to mass produce.
• The pearls give this card a special touch.  If mass producing you might want to consider leaving off the smaller pearls. :(
• I used the Edgelit Die on the inside as well and the sweet sentiment that's also in the Sprinkled Expressions stamp set.
