Hello Doily

Hello Doily and this embossing technique makes a very special card.  And that's exactly what I needed for my door prize today at the Women's Expo here in Jasper.  I cased this from a card on Stampin Connection that I saw weeks ago.  Changed the color and added some pearls.  I had trouble finding the card again to credit the creator but will look again.
Note: The card I cased was one created by Lyssa Griffin Zwolanek which I saw on Stampin Connection a Stampin Up site for demos.

The technique used is called resist embossing.  The Hello Doily stamp is embossed using versa mark and clear embossing powder.  Then when you sponge over it the part that is embossed resists the ink and it appears that the color is behind the doily.  It looks really awesome though I don't feel these pictures do it justice.  The embossing is much whiter in person.

The rest of the card was stamped with Delicate Doilies mostly stamping off and then the card was heavily sponged.  I stamped four cards and envelopes with a coordinating box to put them in. And of course added some matching covered nuggets.

If you are local I hope you come by the Women's Expo and say hi. It's from 11:00 to 2:00 at Holy Family Episcopal Church off of Cove Road.  The first 50 ladies get goodie bags and they will be giving out about 30 door prizes.  You might just win this stamped set.
